Monday Night Football (MNF)
Monday Night Football (MNF) is the branding for National Football League (NFL) games that air primarily on Monday nights. It debuted on ABC in 1970 and aired there until 2005, after which it moved exclusively to ESPN in 2006. In 2020, MNF began airing select simulcasts on ABC alongside ESPN, and by 2022, ABC also started broadcasting some exclusive games. Since 2020, ESPN2 has offered an alternate broadcast, known as the Manningcast, for certain games. Additionally, ESPN+ has streamed MNF simulcasts in the U.S. since 2021.
During its original run on ABC, Monday Night Football (MNF) became one of the longest-running and highest-rated U.S. television series, especially among male viewers. Since 1993, it has been preceded by ESPN's pregame show, https://www.cpmrevenuegate.com/quhmjph1?key=63ae912643d2c8c532d144a8cb65e544Monday Night Countdown. Due to an NFL policy ensuring that viewers without cable or satellite can still watch local games, ESPN-exclusive games are broadcast on over-the-air stations in the participating teams' local markets.
Internationally, MNF airs on TSN and RDS in Canada, ESPN Australia in most of Australia, Eleven Sports in Portugal, TV 2 Sport in Denmark, Channel 5 in the UK, and other regions via ESPN International. In the U.S., a Spanish-language version is available on ESPN Deportes, with ESPN International offering it in Latin America. ESPN Brasil also broadcasts a Portuguese version.</
