Currently serving as Ukraine's envoy to the United Kingdom, Mr. Zaluzhny highlighted the direct involvement of Russia's autocratic allies as a key factor in the war's global escalation.

Valery Zaluzhny, the former Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s military, believes that World War III has already begun, citing the active involvement of Russia's allies as evidence of the conflict's global escalation.

"I firmly believe that by 2024, we can consider the Third World War to have started," Mr. Zaluzhny stated during a speech at the Ukrainska Pravda's UP100 award ceremony.

Now serving as Ukraine's envoy to the United Kingdom, Mr. Zaluzhny emphasized the crucial role of Russia’s autocratic allies in widening the scope of the war.

"Soldiers from North Korea are now on the front lines in Ukraine. Let’s be clear. Iranian 'Shahedis' are openly killing civilians in Ukraine, without any shame," he added, highlighting the involvement of North Korean troops and Chinese weapons in the conflict.
